What I've Been Up To...
The Painter (2024) Writer / Director / Scenic Artist
My newest short, the story of an aging artist re-experiencing his past as he paints the beach house he grew up in. It's a drama, and a very personal story about facing trauma and using art to heal. Were playing with mixed reality and minimal dialogue to tell an introspective story. With a final cut in tow, we've just begun our submissions for the festival circuit. The Harrow (2023) Writer / Director / Costume Designer
My first go at analog horror! Through found camcorder footage, we follow a hiker's trip through deep forests in the Bridgewater Triangle, running from a mysterious masked figure through increasingly surreal liminal spaces . Had a lot of fun designing masks and costumes for this, as well as filming on authentic hi8 tape. The Harrow is available on YouTube! |
Mystic Dan (2023) Camera Operator
A documentary about a record store owner in Mystic CT who is, if there ever truly was one, a music lover. A front-row Woodstock attendee, lifelong musician, political activist, and friend of music legends from Crosby Still and Nash to The War on Drugs, it's been a pleasure exploring Dan Curland's story as a camera operator alongside Director Bob Pare and cinematographer Neil Guliano. |
Mr. Winslow's Bell (2022) Writer / Director / Producer
My first endeavor back into directing in a while, a dark comedy I wrote with Sarah Michelson and shot with DP Neil Guliano, follows the story of two gentlemen in 1824 Massachusetts whom can't seem to settle a bet over whether their friend was buried alive or his grave's bell is being rung by the wind. The film has garnered awards in the festival circuit and will be available Spring 2023! |
Adventures in Camera Assistance (2021-2024)
For about two years now, I've been lost in the sauce of full-time camera department work, having the pleasure of working as a camera assistant on a plethora of narrative indie movies! From 1812 war stories to voodoo-fueled revenge horrors to rom-coms with 90's stars, it certainly hasn't been boring! |
